Live Ops!

Season 1 is here, with challenges that change every day, a Rift Anomaly every week and everything from the store showing up in your game.

New

  • Season 1: Downtown Rift! A 100-tier track with titles, banners, weapon finishes, operator skins and Bro Fist effects. The free track's for everyone; the Season Pass adds a reward on every tier. It's all cosmetic: nothing you earn or buy changes how the game plays.
  • Season XP from every battle you finish, counted on our servers.
  • Daily challenges (3 a day) and weekly challenges (5 a week) that refresh by themselves.
  • Rift Anomaly of the week: a featured Battlescape plus a twist like Moonwalk gravity, Double Trouble or Blackout, worth bonus season XP.
  • Weekend XP events and scheduled events that switch on by themselves.
  • NEW! badges and a Coming Soon teaser for the next drop.
  • A season intro flythrough the first time you load into a new season. Skip it anytime.
  • This What's new window, plus the full history at brobattle.com/updates/ and an RSS feed.

Changed

  • Store items now show up in your game: Nightfall armor, Riftglass BR-7, Founders armor, banner and title, the Legendary Bro Fist, and the Ember Guard accents, banner and victory effect.
  • Crew packs are for the whole crew: when one of you owns Ember Guard, everyone in the crew gets it.
  • BroBattle Plus perks are live: a cosmetic drop every month (yours to keep), 5 saved loadout presets per operator, your own permanent private room code, crew colors and emblems, and the Plus banner and title. BRO+ members get all of it too.
  • Your co-op bros see your operator skin, weapon finish, Bro Fist and victory effects.
  • Players under 18 never see offers or Season Pass upsells in the game.

Battlescapes!

Four new Battlescapes, things to drive and ride, K9 partners, a bigger arsenal, faith and compassion.

New

  • Four new Battlescapes: Frontier Farmland, Red Canyon Badlands, Pine Ridge and Coastal Wetlands.
  • Vehicles! Dirt bikes, quads, a four-seat side-by-side and an armored buggy with a mounted gun, plus trucks, tanks and APCs.
  • Horses you can whistle for and ride on the open maps.
  • K9 partners (German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Pit Bull) and wild rift beasts.
  • A bigger arsenal with a real loadout screen, throwables and landmines.
  • Airstrikes, enemy aircraft and enemy vehicles.
  • Faith: Bro Bibles, prayer and your Guardian Angel. Darkness events you can't shoot your way out of.
  • Compassion and Respect: nudge, help up, patch up and drag your bros to cover. Raiders can surrender, and you can cuff and escort them.
  • Emotes: high fives, fist bumps, bro hugs, chest bumps, backflips and more. Linked couples (one man, one woman) can embrace and hold hands.
  • A big PLAY button and a Gear Up! screen: mode, Battlescape, difficulty and loadout in two taps.
  • Easy, Normal, Hard and Brutal, each with its own leaderboard.

BroBattle's first playable build: fight through the Downtown Rift solo, with bots or with your bros.
