Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and BroBattle ("we", "us") about your use of brobattle.com and the BroBattle game. By playing or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BroBattle. Questions: Contact us.

1. Who can play

You must be old enough to consent to these terms where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian. BroBattle keeps adult and minor systems separate with age-appropriate protections, and some social features may be limited by age.

2. Your account

Playing BroBattle requires a free account. Give us accurate sign-up details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us through our contact form if you think someone else has access to your account. One person per account: don't share, sell or transfer it. You can manage your profile, purchases and sign-in sessions in your account.

3. Free to play, never pay-to-win

BroBattle is free to play. The store offers optional cosmetics, content and membership perks. We won't sell gameplay advantages: every weapon and ability is earned by playing, and access to finding Bros and safety features will never be paid. Prices are shown in USD before you buy, and payments are processed by Stripe. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in your account. Eligible purchases can be refunded within 14 days of purchase; request one from your account or through contact us.

4. Your callsign

Choose a callsign that isn't offensive, hateful, sexual, or impersonating another person or brand, and that doesn't contain personal details like your full name, address or phone number. We may change or remove callsigns that break these rules.

5. Conduct

BroBattle is about having each other's back. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, stalk or discriminate against other players.
• Share anyone's personal information, or ask other players for their home address or location.
• Pressure anyone toward private or one-to-one real-world meetings.
• Post sexual content, hate speech or illegal content, or target minors in any way.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automation, tamper with scores, or disrupt servers.
• Reverse engineer or attack the service, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.

We may mute, suspend or ban players, remove scores or disband crews that violate these rules, and we may preserve information needed to investigate reports. Read our safety approach for how block, mute and report work.

6. Social features

Bro Sync, crews and Duo Rifts are optional. Duo Rifts require explicit invitation and acceptance. Bro Sync indicators describe how a battle went and aren't a judgment about any person. You're responsible for your own decisions about who you play with and what you share. BroBattle doesn't arrange private meetups, and any future group events will have their own rules.

7. Our content

The game, art, music, code, the BroBattle name and logos are owned by BroBattle or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to play the game for non-commercial purposes. You may stream and share gameplay videos and screenshots; the press kit covers editorial use of our art.

8. Your content

If you create content in BroBattle, such as a callsign, crew name or chat message, you keep your rights, and you give us permission to host and display it as part of running the game. You're responsible for what you post.

9. Changes and availability

BroBattle is in active development. Features, modes, balance and progression may change, and scores or progress may occasionally be reset. We may suspend or discontinue the service. We'll try to give notice of significant changes.

10. Disclaimers

BroBattle is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Take breaks, and stop playing if you feel unwell; some visual effects include flashing lights.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, BroBattle isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other players online or offline. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for a free game may be zero. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Ending your use

You can stop playing at any time. You can ask us to delete information linked to you as described in the privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, give notice on the site. Continuing to play after changes means you accept them.
